Kings and Priests

Kings & Priests

Kings and Priests is written for the business individual unsure of his or her vital role in the work of God through the church, and the pastor that is frustrated in trying to fulfill a God-given vision due to a lack of finances. It explores our roles in the body of Christ, services both seen and unseen, and how we can fulfill God’s great calling on our lives by yielding to our unique design. The book also examines what happens when those anointed as “Kings” or “Priests” get out of their calling and begin operating in roles they were never intended to perform, as well as how these functions interact and mesh to accomplish God’s plan.

Lesson 1
Lesson One introduces Israel’s example of distinct offices and functions for Kings and Priests, and validates the necessity of both to help today’s church be effective in sharing the gospel of Christ.

Lesson 2
This lesson focuses on the role of Kings in church ministry, the gifts they have been given to generate provision for the work of the God, and how these relate to the vision provided by today’s Priests.

Lesson 3
Curriculum for lesson three explores issues of stewardship versus ownership, tithes and offerings, and the ultimate example of a godly king- David, who used his talents and accumulated wealth to accomplish the work of God.

Lesson 4
The final class of this series further examines our dual roles as both Kings and Priests, and ways we may function outside our primary giftings. It also challenges students to take a more universal perspective of cultural conquest and the ways in which Kings and Priests can work together to achieve the goal of global evangelism.
